Bios
Frankie Pavia is a second-year graduate student in Earth and Environmental Sciences at Columbia University. His research focuses on the dynamics of naturally-occurring Uranium-series radionuclides in the Pacific, Indian, and Arctic Oceans and the information their spatial distributions provide on physical and biological processes. He is interested in dialectics between narrative, literature, and the scientific method.
Jason Bell is a second-year graduate student in English at Yale University. His research concerns forms of ecological experience in 19th-century American literature, including environmental, cultural, and geographic regionalism. He also convenes a new working group on Law and the Humanities at the Whitney Humanities Center at Yale.
